ZOO VIEW is distributed quarterly to members of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, the nonprofit support arm of the Los Angeles Zoo. The magazine’s primary goal is to promote interest in the animals, education programs, and conservation efforts of the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, thereby increasing zoo attendance and inspiring interest in, and compassion for, imperiled wildlife. ZOO VIEW is delivered to approximately 50,000 households, primarily in Southern California. In contrast to the average zoo visitor, readers tend to have a greater commitment to conservation and knowledge about environmental issues. While the magazine appeals to all ages, articles are targeted to the adult reader, with an eye toward enhancing the zoo experience, encouraging repeat visits, and strengthening interest in animals at the zoo and in the wild. |
