51 Brands Earned Best in Publishing Accolades
Today, B2B Media Company, producers of the 67th Annual Maggie Awards®, revealed the winners for excellence in publishing and digital media. The longest reigning awards program is proud to reveal winners as selected and judged by industry peers and publishing executives.
“These 51 winners all represent the best in publishing and digital media across consumer, trade, student and digital media. They are creative, thought-provoking and produce truthful, objective and reliable media for millions of readers,” reported Catherine Upton, Maggie Awards Chair. “B2B Media is honored to produce this highly respected awards program.”
The 67th Annual Maggie Awards® Ceremony was hosted on May 3rd at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Attendees represented brands from across the USA and were recognized for excellence in editorial, design, layout and impact.
Five Changes to the Maggie Awards®
This year, entrants represented media from across the globe. Approximately 20% of award-winners and finalists resided outside the Western United States.
B2B Media also premiered the first Maggie Awards® Winners Showcase online featuring the quality work products of each honorees. To access the Showcase, login to MaggieAwards.com/2019showcase/.
This year’s Maggie Awards® winners and finalists also earn additional recognition in the Showcase as well as ICONs created to post and promote the honor across the year.
Next, the Maggie Awards are recognizing the individual contributors of both winners and award of excellence recipients. Each contributor from Art Director to Publisher, will receive a Maggie Awards® Winner or Award of Excellence ICONs for their individual roles.
Last, the Maggie Awards® trophy changed to better reflect the creative and collaborative aspects of media. Custom hand-blown glass tear-drop trophies were issued this year to each award-winner.
“Creating award-winning media is a team effort,” states Upton. “Each member adds a vital element to the story. This year, the trophy itself, the creation of brand ICONs and individual badges reflect and reward the collaboration and individual contributions required for excellence.”
