Awards Honoring Best in Print and Digital Media Close
The Annual Maggie Awards, the longest reigning publishing awards program in the U.S.A, announced the brand will retire effective immediately.
Launched in 1951, the awards program has witnessed and honored the best in media across print, digital, online, email, video and social media.
“The time is right for our brand to retire,” said Catherine Upton, CEO and Awards Chair. “Over the last decade, we have witnessed publishing and media channels morph dramatically. It is now time for this storied program to close its books,” concluded Upton.
The year 2020 saw incredible turmoil. Despite this, the 69th Annual Maggie Awards honored hundreds of print and digital media for excellence. The honorees are showcased on MaggieAwards.com. The website will remain active until November 2021 to allow past honorees to secure screenshots and details of previous accolades.
“The time is right for our exit,” added Catherine Upton.
